Is everyone psychic, or do only some of us have the ability? I’m having a hard time getting in touch with my intuition.

Dear Psy-Curious,
I believe that everyone has some abilities. I think that if we spent some time developing our intuition in school, many of us would be quite advanced at that skill. It’s like any sport; it takes regular practise to exercise a muscle. The degree to which someone has the ability might vary depending on many factors, including natural tendencies, past life experiences, traumas sustained during this lifetime, intentions involved in seeking the information, and, very importantly, whether or not one has an interest in the subject of psychic phenomena.
Regular practise, taking risks with your work as an intuitive, and being at peace with making mistakes are some key components that can help you to build confidence in your natural abilities. We all have access to the collective unconscious mind, and it merely takes some meditation, patience, and good intentions to pick up on the information that is available to everyone, if we are willing to take the time to listen.
